“FaSoLaMix” is a practical tool aimed at educating individuals on Sacred Harp singing, particularly beneficial for newcomers to the tradition. The app provides a virtual immersive experience, offering users the opportunity to simulate the experience of sitting alongside proficient singers in their preferred vocal section. Through high-quality recordings encompassing various Sacred Harp songs, users can manually control the blend of the four vocal parts. This allows for focused learning, where individuals can isolate specific sections for practice.

While the primary audience for this app is novice singers seeking to enhance their skills, experienced practitioners will also find it both valuable and enjoyable. Seasoned singers can utilize the app to mute specific parts and harmonize with their own voice, enhancing their understanding and performance of the music.

“FaSoLaMix” comes equipped with a collection of 24 songs, featuring a range of difficulty levels commonly sung at all-day events and conventions. Additional recordings will be periodically released for purchase in the form of “song packs,” each containing multiple songs to expand the user's repertoire.

All proceeds from the sales of this app are channeled towards creating additional recordings for future updates. Any surplus funds will support the Sacred Harp Musical Heritage Association, a non-profit organization committed to safeguarding and perpetuating the art of Sacred Harp singing and its legacy.
